Cookie & Tracking Policy

Plain-language note. This is a professionally drafted template, provided for transparency — not certified legal advice. We intend to have our policies reviewed by a licensed attorney before scaling paid advertising, and they may change as a result. Nothing here guarantees a particular legal outcome or that any use is lawful in your country; where local mandatory consumer-protection law gives you stronger rights, that law prevails. Full registered legal-entity details can be provided on request; forming a limited-liability company (for example, ToxRock Records LLC) with a registered-agent business address is the recommended next step for complete operator disclosure, pending attorney review. This page explains, plainly and honestly, how I Can't Sing (operated by ToxRock Records) uses cookies and similar technologies on icantsing.com. The short version: we use only what is needed to make the site and checkout work and to keep them secure. We do not use advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. "Similar technologies" include local storage and session storage, which work in comparable ways. Some are strictly necessary for a site to function; others (which we do not use) track people across sites for advertising.

What we actually use

Name / typePurposeCategoryRetention
Checkout & session (Stripe)Enables secure checkout and fraud prevention when you buy a plan. Set by our payment processor, Stripe, only on payment pages.Strictly necessarySession / short-lived
Security & delivery (Cloudflare / Vercel)Protects the site from abuse and routes traffic to keep it fast and available.Strictly necessarySession / short-lived
ics_consent_v1 (local storage)Remembers your choice on the cookie banner so we do not ask again. Stored on your device only.Strictly necessaryUntil you clear it

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under EU/UK rules because the site cannot function without them. If this ever changes — for example, if we add optional analytics — we will update this page and ask for your consent first through the banner.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, social-media trackers, cross-site or cross-context tracking, or third-party analytics that build a profile of you. We do not sell or "share" your data for behavioral advertising. The I Can't Sing desktop app runs entirely on your device and uses no cookies at all.

Your choices

Because we use only essential cookies today, the banner's "Accept" and "Reject non-essential" both keep the site fully working — "Reject" simply confirms that no optional tracking should ever be loaded. You can also control or delete cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may break checkout or login.

Changes

We will post any updates here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting optional tracking will be gated behind fresh consent.
