Refund & EU Consumer Rights

Plain-language note. This is a professionally drafted template, provided for transparency — not certified legal advice. We intend to have our policies reviewed by a licensed attorney before scaling paid advertising, and they may change as a result. Nothing here guarantees a particular legal outcome or that any use is lawful in your country; where local mandatory consumer-protection law gives you stronger rights, that law prevails. Full registered legal-entity details can be provided on request; forming a limited-liability company (for example, ToxRock Records LLC) with a registered-agent business address is the recommended next step for complete operator disclosure, pending attorney review. We want you genuinely happy with I Can't Sing, operated by ToxRock Records. This policy explains — plainly and fairly — how cancellations and refunds work, and sets out the statutory rights of consumers in the EU/EEA and UK. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Try it free first

I Can't Sing has a FREE tier that never expires. Because real-time audio performance depends on your specific computer, microphone, and audio setup, we strongly recommend running the free version first to confirm everything works well on your machine before you upgrade. Because you can fully evaluate the core experience for free, paid refunds are limited as described below — the free tier is your no-risk trial.

Cancel anytime

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and does not renew after that. Any files and audio you have created remain yours to keep, during and after your subscription.

Monthly subscriptions

Monthly plans are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started. If you don't want to be charged again, cancel before your next renewal date and you won't be billed for the following month. We send renewal reminders where practicable.

Annual subscriptions & Lifetime PRO

For annual plans and one-time Lifetime PRO purchases, we offer a limited refund window of 14 days from the date of purchase, provided the Service has not been substantially used, and granted at our reasonable discretion. This is intended for cases where the app doesn't work properly on your system despite trying to get it running. After the 14-day window, annual and Lifetime purchases are non-refundable. We'd love the chance to help you fix any issue first — most problems are quick audio-setting fixes.

EU/EEA & UK consumers: your 14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, you generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal ("cooling-off period") when you buy digital products online at a distance. This is separate from, and in addition to, our voluntary refund window above — whichever gives you more, applies. During this period you can withdraw from the purchase for any reason and receive a refund of what you paid.

Important exception for downloads (explained plainly and fairly). Under EU and UK consumer law, this 14-day right does not apply once the download or supply of digital content has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that, by starting, you lose the right of withdrawal. Because I Can't Sing is delivered as an immediate download and license activation, at checkout we ask you to:

If you do not want to lose the cooling-off period, do not download or activate the software during those 14 days — and email us if you would like to wait. If you have not yet started the download/activation, you keep the full 14-day withdrawal right and we will refund you in full on request. This exception does not affect your separate statutory rights if the software is faulty or not as described.

How to withdraw. To exercise the right of withdrawal where it applies, send a clear statement (for example, by email to support@icantsing.com) before the 14 days end. You may use a plain sentence such as: "I withdraw from my purchase of I Can't Sing made on [date], order/email [details]." We will refund you without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after we are informed, using the same payment method you used.

UK & EU statutory guarantee (faulty or not-as-described)

Separately from any cooling-off period, if the software is faulty, not as described, or does not work as it should, consumers in the EU/EEA and UK have statutory rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund. These rights are not affected by our policies above, and no time-limited window removes them where the law grants them.

Renewals

Subscriptions auto-renew and we send reminders beforehand where practicable. We generally don't refund renewal charges — cancel anytime before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. That said, we're reasonable: if you were clearly charged for a renewal you meant to cancel and you reach out soon after, we'll work with you in good faith.

How to request a refund

Email support@icantsing.com from the address you used to buy, with a quick note about what went wrong. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe, usually within a few business days. Refunds may result in deactivation of the associated license key.

Chargebacks

Please contact us first — we can almost always sort things out faster than your bank. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us may result in immediate deactivation of your license key and account, and we reserve the right to contest disputes we believe are unwarranted.

Taxes & fees

Where refunds are issued, any applicable taxes are handled according to the rules of your jurisdiction. Non-refundable third-party fees, where any apply, are not included in refunds.

Price changes

We may change prices for future billing periods. For subscriptions, we'll give advance notice before a new price applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before then if you don't wish to continue. See our Terms of Service for details.
