Frequently asked questions
Does I Can't Sing really work offline?
Yes. I Can't Sing does all of its processing on your own computer, in real time, with no internet connection required after activation. Your voice never gets uploaded, streamed, or sent anywhere. Offline-first is the whole point.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 8GB+ RAM (16GB recommended), ~500MB disk. For the lowest latency, we recommend a dedicated USB audio interface. You can confirm performance on your own machine by trying the FREE tier first.
Do I need a microphone or an audio interface?
You need a microphone to get your voice in. An audio interface is recommended (not required) because it gives much lower latency — around 10–20ms, which feels instant. A basic USB mic works to get started.
Is my voice and data actually private?
Completely. I Can't Sing never records, uploads, or transmits your voice. The only personal data we collect is your email (for your account and license) and optional, opt-in feedback. We never see your audio, and we never sell your data.
How do I activate my license key?
After you buy, we email your key. Open I Can't Sing, go to Account, and paste it in. It's verified offline on your device — no login dance required.
Can I use I Can't Sing on two computers?
Your license is for your personal use — install it on your own machines (e.g., a desktop and a laptop). Please don't share your key. Need help moving to a new computer? Email support.
What's the difference between the tiers?
FREE (forever): core real-time vocal processing. PRO ($12/mo or $96/yr): the full toolset for personal use. STUDIO ($24/mo or $180/yr): everything in PRO plus commercial-use rights. Lifetime PRO ($199 once): all PRO features, paid once, yours to keep.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Anytime. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and won't renew after that. Any files you've created stay yours.
Do subscriptions renew automatically?
Yes — monthly or yearly plans auto-renew so your access doesn't lapse. We send reminders, and you can cancel before your renewal date to stop the next charge.
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet — I Can't Sing is Windows-only for now, but a Mac version is on the roadmap. Join the Mac waitlist on the beta page and we'll email you when it's ready.
Does the vocal takeover only work with Suno?
No — it works with any AI song and any audio file. Export a track from Suno, Udio, Riffusion, SonAuto, Boomy, AIVA, or bounce a mix out of your DAW, load it into the Song Deck, and the melody & stem engine separates the vocals on your PC so you can mute the original lead and sing it yourself. Suno is just one popular example; the engine treats every source the same. The Docs page has step-by-step export guides.
How is this different from Antares or Voicemod?
I Can't Sing is a real-time, 100% on-device vocal processor for Windows, with a free tier to try first. See the full breakdowns: I Can't Sing vs Antares and I Can't Sing vs Voicemod.
What's the beta / Founding Users deal?
Early supporters who join during the beta become Founding Users — early access, a direct line to shape the app, and special Founding-User perks. Sign up with your email on the beta page.
What if it doesn't work on my system?
Start with the FREE tier to confirm it performs on your machine — that's your no-risk trial. Annual and Lifetime purchases come with a 14-day refund window, and monthly plans can be cancelled anytime so you're not charged again. See our Refund Policy for the details, and either way email us — most latency issues are quick audio-setting fixes we're happy to walk you through.
Do I keep the music I make if I cancel?
Yes. Everything you create with I Can't Sing is yours to keep, during and after your subscription.
How do I get support?
Email support@icantsing.com. We read every message and reply quickly — especially for activation and setup.
Still curious? The best answer is to hear yourself in tune — the free tier costs nothing.
